Bio:

Avril was a middle child who 'always wanted to be the center of attention.' Avril started singing when she was about two years old in her hometown, Napanee Ontario. Avril loves going to her fave pizza place, La Pizzareia, when she visits Napanee. She began to sing in festivals, country music fairs and talent contests. Lavigne wrote her first song at the age of fourteen and taught herself to play the guitar at age twelve. Avril took a trip to the big apple to be discovered. She lucked out and at a recording studio she caught an eye of Antonio 'LA' Reid who got Avril started with Arista Records at age sixteen.

Avril Lavigne's album, Let Go, has sold millons of copies all around the world. Avril's concert 'Try To Shut Me Up' was a huge success, but don't flip if you missed her concert, because you can always buy her DVD 'My World'!

Avrils Music Influences includes bands such as the Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox 20. Avril doesn't care what people have to say to her and she doesn't let other people dress her. She even brings her own clothes to photo shoots because stylists keep trying to glam her up!
